New Date and Place For NAFCD Annual Meeting
Chicago, IL, June 9--The National Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) has rescheduled the NAFCD 32nd Annual Meeting, "Leaders Meeting Leaders," to September 5-7, 2003, at the Westin Hotel Michigan Avenue in Chicago. "As distributors, we are all used to analyzing positions and making choices. While we had planned on Toronto and worked out a great agenda, we had to make a decision that was in the best interest of our memberships' health and welfare," stated NAFCD President David Rowe. " Chicago is also a great meeting location and attendees can be assured that they will receive the same high quality programming and networking they've come to expect from NAFCD." The new meeting location in Chicago will give attendees the chance to explore this great city. The Windy City offers outstanding architecture, world-class restaurants, boat rides along Lake Michigan, and a wide array of cultural activities on the museum campus and in the theater district. The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago hotel is located in a dynamic area of the city. On the famed "Magnificent Mile," The Westin is across the street from the John Hancock Building, just a block from the Water Tower Place, two blocks from the beach and near some of the best restaurants and shopping in the world. The NAFCD 32nd Annual Meeting is designed to hone the personal and professional skills of floor covering distributors. The meeting features many exciting sessions, including a panel discussion with four industry presidents and speakers Rocky Bleier, Dr. Gary Bradt, Andy Seybold, Carl Cullotta and Sam Shapiro. For the first time ever, NAFCD is bringing together four presidents of major floor covering manufacturers for the panel discussion "State of the Industry: Viewpoints From Floor Covering Leaders": Thomas S. Davis, President and CEO, Mannington Mills; Chan W. Galbato, President and CEO, Armstrong Flooring; Ulf Mattsson, President and CEO, Domco Tarkett Inc.; and Roger Marcus, President and CEO, Congoleum Corporation. This interactive session will give attendees a chance to hear first-hand about the future of the floor covering industry.
