NeoCon to Highlight Sustainable Resources at GREEN

Chicago, IL, March 8--Interior designers and architects looking for the best and brightest environmentally friendly, green design resources, need look no further than GREENlife, which will showcase the most innovative ways to integrate sustainable products with creative design solutions during NeoCon World¹s Trade Fair, June 13-15, 2005, at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Sponsored by Interiors & Sources magazine, GREENlife will offer attendees a chance to learn about the latest green design resources through educational programming, a helpful reference guide, a resource lounge and an informational tour. "Building on the success of last year¹s GREENlife show, the expanded offerings of this year¹s programming indicate the growing impact green design is having on interior design and buildings materials," said Mark Falanga, vice president, Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI). The many resources available at GREENlife include: GREENlife Resource Hub & Lounge Attendees can visit the Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates, Inc. Architects (TVS)-designed GREENlife Resource Hub & Lounge in the 7th-floor Market Suites to gather information on all things that are green at NeoCon. Visitors can relax while trying out sustainable furniture and learning about products and showrooms featured at NeoCon. The lounge also will serve as NeoCon headquarters for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Green Walk Tuesday, June 14, 2005 Noon 5 p.m. NeoCon show floors: 3, 7, 8, 10 and 11 Participants will learn about specific showrooms and exhibits featuring green products or events during this informal tour conducted during scheduled hours. Knowledgeable representatives will be on hand to discuss various environmental initiatives. Green Guide The Green Guide to NeoCon, available in the GREENlife Lounge on the 7th floor, lists all of the companies participating in GREENlife. The Green Guide also is the reference guide for the USGBC¹s new LEED-CI program. Attendees can use this guide to find out how to apply for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification on interior projects.
