Chicago, IL, June 12, 2006--The 38th annual NeoCon World’s Trade Fair, North America’s largest commercial interior design show and conference, returns to the Merchandise Mart in Chicago today through Wednesday, June 14, 2006.
This year’s NeoCon is the biggest in the fair’s history and will include 10 new showrooms and nine showroom expansions.
The 3rd, 10th and 11th floors of the Merchandise Mart house the new showrooms that will be introduced during this year’s NeoCon. New showrooms include: Andreu World (10-132); Bentley Prince Street (1060); Gordon International (11-112A); Herman Miller for Healthcare (11-117A); Indiana Furniture (1054A); InterfaceFlor Commercial (10-121); OSI Signature in Fine Wood (316); Watson Desking (11-104); Vitra (10-124); and Whitehall Furniture(3-112).
NeoCon brings with it the unveiling of nine showroom expansions, including: AIS (1082); ArcCom Fabrics (1194); FCI (10-109); izzy (1150); Nucraft Furniture (1166); Decca Contract (11-104); Tuohy Furniture (1159); Tayco Panelink (1086); and Tella Systems (1192).
Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc., expects more than 45,000 attendees at its June 12-14, 2006 event--the highest number since 2000. Attendee pre-registration is currently 36 percent ahead of 2005, and seminar and event pre-registration also is up. More than 20 of the seminars are either completely full or 80 percent booked. According to the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau, NeoCon generates $47 million in revenue for the city of Chicago.
