NALFA Reports on Fall 2025 Meeting in Philadelphia

Springfield, MA, October 23, 2025-The North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA) recently hosted its annual fall meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from October 7 to 9. 

The meeting brought together NALFA members and industry leaders from across North America, including Mohawk, Cali Floors, Shaw, Kronospan USA, DMX Membranes Limited, Pak-Lite (PLI), MP Global Products, Selit North America, Arauco North America, Torlys, Mannington Mills, Zamma Corporation, Floor & Decor, Framerica Corp., NC State University, and Institute for Floor Covering Inspectors International. Attendees engaged in discussions on industry advancements, standard refinements, and long-term growth strategies, reaffirming NALFA’s commitment to strengthening laminate flooring’s position in the market.

Led by NALFA president Tom Wright of Mohawk Industries, the meeting emphasized expanding the association’s technical leadership and industry engagement. Members discussed initiatives to deepen collaboration with retailers, distributors, and manufacturers while advancing certification priorities that reinforce the quality, sustainability, and innovation behind NALFA-certified products.

NALFA members participated in committee meetings and industry presentations that informed and supported the association’s work. The Technical, Underlayment, Moulding, and Marketing Committees met to review standards, performance testing, market education, and communication initiatives, each aligning its efforts to NALFA’s broader goals of education, knowledge-sharing, and industry collaboration.

The event featured dynamic keynote presentations from leading experts. Drew Kern, owner of Infinity Claims Management Solutions, shared insights from his 25 years in the flooring industry, including his extensive experience in installation, inspection and product testing. His session highlighted best practices and technical excellence essential to supporting long-term product performance and customer satisfaction.

Eric Lynch, economist with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), delivered an economic update analyzing housing trends, consumer behavior, and market forces influencing the flooring sector. As a Certified Business Economist™ with expertise in data analytics, Lynch provided attendees with actionable insights into how broader economic indicators are shaping industry opportunities.

Looking ahead, NALFA’s Spring Meeting is scheduled for March 10 to 12, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. Members are encouraged to attend and contribute to the ongoing discussions shaping the laminate flooring industry.
