Nafco’s PermaStone Earns ADEX Award
Houston, TX, Jun. 2--Design Journal magazine recently awarded Nafco by Tarkett’s PermaStone Natural Slate the 2003 Platinum ADEX Award in the flooring category. This distinction recognizes the product as one of the premier flooring products on the market. “ADEX stands for Awards for Design Excellence and is the largest and most prestigious awards program for product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade,” explained John Moses, executive director of the ADEX Awards. “By awarding the Platinum Award to Nafco by Tarkett’s Permastone Natural Slate, we are signaling to designers that they owe it to themselves and their clients to consider the product when specifying flooring for their projects.” Nafco’s 16” x 16” PermaStone luxury vinyl tile flooring was introduced to meet the growing demand for flooring inspired by nature. The collection’s Natural Slate design is extremely realistic, with the texture, depth and fissure lines of a real slate floor. It also features Tarkett’s exclusive GroutFit system, which simulates a true grouted look and feel. While most conventional vinyl tiles have grout on all four sides, leaving a visible seam right in the middle of the grout, the GroutFit system is featured on two sides, so upon installation it is virtually seamless. Color options include Flag Stone, Field Stone, Mossy Stone, Prairie Stone and Lava Stone. “It is an honor to be recognized with an award as respected as a Platinum ADEX Award,” said Pierre Lefort, general manager of Nafco by Tarkett. “It is extremely rewarding to receive an award that validates our company’s mission to create the most unique, stylish and durable floors available in the marketplace.”
