Nafco Expands PermaStone Offering

Houston, TX, May 24--Today Nafco by Tarkett announced the launch of a new collection within its PermaStone line--PermaStone Modular--which offers a variety of newly sized tiles that can be assembled into modular units. Developed to provide designers and homeowners with additional decorative options, the new tiles enable users to lay modular floors that present a more upscale, elegant look. In the PermaStone Modular collection, seven tiles comprise one modular unit: two 16x16, three 8x8 and two 8x16 tiles, all of which are available as identical tile pieces packaged in a single carton, making it easy for the consumer to understand how all the pieces fit together. PermaStone Modular patterns in the Better Living Collection include: ·Natural Slate in three natural colorations: Dune, Flint and River Rock. ·Parchment in three colors: Glacier, Baltic and Earth. ·Porcelain in three unique colorations: Cameo, Sand Piper and Suede. Additionally, another design, featured in the 8x16 paver size is available in the Better Living Collection. ·Tuscany in three colorations: Limestone, Sunstone and Terrastone. Two PermaStone Modular designs are available in the Best Living Collection: ·Monostone--a thru-chip, solid-surface product in four distinctive colorations: Sand, Beach, Puma and Haze. Like the three Modular patterns in the Better Living Collection, Natural Slate, Parchment and Porcelain, Monostone is comprised of one modular unit in two 16x16, three 8x8 and two 8x16 tile pieces, all of which are available as identical tile pieces packaged four modules in a carton. Brick will be offered in 4x36 strip format. These strips will feature the GroutFit System as well as Tritonite finish, making them particularly durable for use in heavy traffic areas. Additionally, the Brick pattern can also be installed on the walls within a residential setting. The Brick pattern is offered in eight colors: Adobe, Aztec, Concrete, Sienna, Canyon, Mocha, Straw and Willow. “PermaStone has been known for its natural looks--now those looks can be assembled in stylish, modular units,” says Pierre Lefort, general manager, Nafco. “Consumers can mix and match any of the colors to create a very personalized look for their homes. “Retailers have been clamoring for more flooring options that deliver the look of brick,” adds Lefort. “Entryways, dens, family rooms and even kitchens are perfect environments for which the brick flooring will deliver a more rustic, country appeal. The brick can also be installed in any room on walls with our cove base adhesive to provide consumers with fantastic decorating flexibility that truly reflects the versatility of the product and takes it to a total different level.” Natural Slate, Parchment, Porcelain and Tuscany offer warranties for 20 years of residential use, and five years for light commercial. Monostone, a solid vinyl product, and Brick offer a 30 year residential warranty and ten years for commercial. PermaStone Modular also features the exclusive GroutFit system, which simulates a grouted look and feel. While most conventional vinyl tiles have grout on all four sides, leaving a visible seam right in the middle of the grout, the GroutFit system is featured on two sides, so upon installation it is virtually seamless. Additionally all products in the PermaStone Modular Collection utilize Nafco’s exclusive Tritonite wearlayer, which uses ceramic technology for superior resistance against abrasions, scuffs and scrapes up to five times better than a traditional surface.
