The idea emerged when Simmons began shopping for a new rug for his family room. The store clerk assured him that this was typical for rug shoppers, but Simmons refused to settle for typical. Using his architectural computer-aided design and e-commerce experience, he set to work creating a solution that would allow consumers to find the right rug without the hassle.
