Multi-Family Construction To Surge in 2012
New York, NY, Feb. 14, 2012 -- Construction of multi-family units will lead the U.S. building industry again this year, according to Bloomberg News.
The Bloomberg story, citing economists Michelle Meyer and Celia Chen, says the growth of multi-family housing will allow housing to contribute to construction growth for the first time in seven years.
The story says that work will begin on about 260,000 apartment buildings and townhouse developments in 2012, up 45% from last year and the most since 2008.
