Mullican Tech 101 Schedule Announced

Johnson City, TN, February 16--A new year means new opportunities, and Mullican Flooring is gearing up for another year of Mullican Tech 101. The two-day training classes are free and provide a better understanding of hardwood flooring. Don Conner, Mullican’s technical and product development director, instructs the classes, which are held at Mullican’s headquarters in Johnson City, Tenn. Mullican Tech 101 addresses numerous hardwood flooring topics, including species recognition, properties of wood, unfinished and prefinished products. The course also emphasizes marketing and selling, installation techniques, wood acclimation, maintenance, early identification and solution of problems, troubleshooting, claim handling and consumer expectations. "The hardwood flooring industry continues to evolve, and Mullican Tech 101 gives individuals an opportunity to stay on top of the latest changes," Conner says. "This is a unique learning opportunity because it provides a comprehensive overview on a number of elements in the industry." Classes will take place on Feb. 28 and March 1, April 4 and 5, May 16 and 17, June 23 and 24, Aug. 8 and 9, and Nov. 7 and 8. A $50 refundable deposit is required.
