Moving from a produce-as-ordered manufacturer to establishing a quick-ship program will benefit Moulding Solutions’ customers by reducing the lead time required on prefinished mouldings. Many orders that once took five days to ship can now be shipped in as little as twenty-four hours. This quick-ship stocking program is centered on the colors and profiles matching the wood floorcovering products that are consistently dominate across many of Moulding Solutions’ customers.
The stocking program fills a gap left between the manufacturing process and the turn-key production installation companies. By filling this gap, Moulding Solutions hopes to capture more production installation customers and increase the overall satisfaction of their current customers.
