Bend, OR, Apr. 14--Morelock Flooring, a division of Millstone Industries, LLC, announced Tuesday its new partnership agreements with Hardwood Flooring Distributors (HFD) Goodfellow and FSC Flooring Distributors Inc. to distribute its hardwood flooring on a regional level, according to Bend.com.
HFD, a division of Goodfellow Distribution, Inc., is based in Seattle, WA and will now be the exclusive distributor of Morelock Flooring's solid hardwood products in the state of Washington. HFD Goodfellow recognized the market share that wide plank, character grade flooring commands in the marketplace and found that Morelock Flooring addressed this void in its current offerings.
"We learned of Morelock Flooring's fantastic quality from one of their current distributors in another region," said Greg Cunningham, purchasing manager for HFD Goodfellow. "With this information, plus our close proximity to their manufacturing facility in Oregon, it made good sense for us to pursue a partnership with them. Together, we expect to offer unique species and competitive pricing within our market."
FSC Flooring Distributors, based in Sheboygan, WI, is now the exclusive distributor of Millstone Industries' Morelock Flooring line in the Chicago metropolitan area. They selected Morelock Flooring as a partner for many of the same reasons.
"We chose Morelock Flooring because the hardwood industry is rapidly changing," said Tim Flagstad, co-owner of FSC Flooring Distributors. "Consumers are demanding wider variety in species, width and level of character. Morelock gives us a larger presence in all of those areas."
