Mohawk’s Sustainablity Efforts to be on Atlanta TV

Kennesaw, GA, September 18, 2007--Mohawk Industries will be the feature of an upcoming prime time special “Going Green” on WSB-TV2, the Atlanta-based ABC Network affiliate. The program, which will showcase the flooring organization’s pioneering sustainability initiatives, will air on September 18 at 8 p.m.

Mohawk is the flooring industry’s largest recycler – diverting more than three billion pounds of waste from the landfill annually. For example, it makes polyester carpet made from recycled soda bottles and doormats from tires.

Jeff Lorberbaum, chairman and CEO of Mohawk Industries, will make an appearance on the special.
