Mohawk's Spring Promo Heats Up

Dalton, GA, March 20, 2006--Mohawk's springtime promotion, called "Mohawk Rewards Plus” is heating up for a spring campaign. “Smart Start to Spring,” which runs from March 18 through April 22, lets retail salespeople earn points for a wide variety of products. Retail salespeople can earn points per square yard for Mohawk Wear-Dated Carpet with Scotchgard Advanced Repel Technology, and Mohawk Kid Proof SmartStrand styles. A second promotion, “Advantage: Mohawk,” is set to begin April 24 and run through June 17. This one will also feature Mohawk Wear-Dated carpet with Scotchgard Advanced Repel Technology. There will also be hard surface products and other merchandise included in the promotion. “Spring is a strong selling season, and these promotions will tie into our national sale and other events,” said Ed Williams, senior vice president of Mohawk. “We are giving retail salespeople ways to take advantage of these with our ‘Mohawk Rewards Plus’ earning periods, and we’re supporting our dealers by helping incentivize retail salespeople during these important sales.” Williams noted that “Mohawk Rewards Plus” was created based on input from retail salespeople across the country. "One of the reasons for the success of the 'Mohawk Rewards Plus' is the flexibility that retail salespeople have with the points they have earned," Williams said. "Unlike many promotion programs, which require redemption at the end of each promotion period, 'Mohawk Rewards Plus' lets salespeople continue accumulating points throughout the year. This means they can earn bigger rewards." Plus, Mohawk posts the qualifying orders online. A participant simply “claims” the orders he or she has sold. A catalog showcases hundreds of awards-large and small-that participants can earn. There are also over 1,000 premiums available on the "Mohawk Rewards Plus" website.
