Mohawk U Takes Top Award

Dalton, GA, September 8--A training program created by Mohawk University is a Silver Winner in the 2005 Summit Creative Awards international competition. Mohawk University’s “Basic Selling Volumes I and II” CD-ROM training course received the silver award for Outstanding Creative Design at the Summit awards. The program provides floorcovering professionals with key concepts regarding carpet quality that can be readily articulated to consumers—and used in new product evaluation. The program was created by Mohawk University in collaboration with Allman Consulting and Training (ACT). “This is significant for Mohawk University for a number of reasons,” said Ed Williams, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Mohawk. “It’s quite an honor to be recognized in this international review, especially when you consider the quality of the other entries. But it’s also ongoing professional validation that Mohawk University’s goal of providing objective, useful information is being achieved.” The Summit Creative Awards, celebrating its 11th year, has established itself as one of the premier arbiters of creative excellence. It was created to recognize exceptional work by marketing creative firms including advertising agencies, video production companies, multimedia firms and other creative groups. This year's competition received approximately 3,000 entries from more than 20 countries including Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Croatia, England, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Kuwait, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Winners were selected in categories that include print, broadcast, online advertising, multimedia, printed material, direct mail, sales promotion, political, corporate video, public service, best idea never produced and industry self-promotion.
