Mohawk U. Courses on CD Make Training More Accessi

Dalton, GA, June 25--As Mohawk University expanded its live course offerings this year to include more than 240 seminars in over 80 cities, it also recognized the need for training that travels to retail stores. A series of new CD training programs has been developed for this purpose. The CD courses follow two education tracks. The Product Knowledge track includes “The Pillars of Carpet Performance,” and “Fundamentals of Wood and Laminate Flooring,” with a ceramic tile program in development. The second track is a series of “how to sell” courses of which the first two, “Basic Selling 1” and “Basic Selling 2,” were unveiled earlier this year. CDs are interactive and can dramatically speed the learning process. In fact, the “Fundamentals of Wood and Laminate Flooring” was recognized with a Dealer’s Choice Award this year. “CD courses allow stores to involve more of their people with solid, fundamental training. CDs also help solve the problem of quickly training new people when there’s turnover--something that’s inevitable in the retail industry. And all Mohawk training programs (CDs included) qualify for nationally accredited Continuing Education Units (CEUs),” noted Mike Zoellner, Vice President of Marketing Programs for Mohawk. Mohawk University also offers video programs on installation, credit, and other topics, along with special guides for hiring staff and other business subjects. And Mohawk University instructors are among the best retail training teachers in the nation, with years of experience in training and running their own retail stores. “They understand what retailers go through,” Zoellner said. “And they speak the retailer’s language.” To learn more about Mohawk University’s CD training or live programs, call 1-800-MOHAWKU or visit www. mohawk-today.com or www.mohawk-university.com.
