Mohawk Names Peters President of Flooring Division

Calhoun, GA, May 2, 2008--Mohawk Industries has named Frank Peters as president of the Mohawk Flooring division which encompasses all carpet, rugs, and Mohawk branded hard surface flooring.

Peters will be responsible for the Mohawk residential and commercial sales, marketing, manufacturing, and distribution. Peters replaces Monte Thornton, who will be retiring from Mohawk after 15 years as a company executive. Thornton will continue in an advisory role during a transition period.

Peters has held leadership roles at Armstrong World Industries and Shaw Industries before joining Mohawk as head of product development. Peters’ previous responsibilities at Mohawk included all carpet and yarn manufacturing, distribution and product development as Vice President of Manufacturing for Mohawk Flooring.
