Mohawk Intros Three New Ceramic Products

Dalton, GA, January 9, 2006--Mohawk’s latest ceramic introductions feature soft, very versatile looks that include floor and wall combinations. “These are beautiful, versatile looks that provide sophisticated style and numerous choices in trim,” notes Ed Williams, senior vice president of marketing. “They allow our dealers to hit some key price points and offer remarkable value to consumers.” Three new products are being offered: Bella Rocca, Sardara, and Egyptian Stone. Bella Rocca A glazed ceramic floor and wall combination inspired by the look of soft limestone, Bella Rocca combines the look of natural limestone with an easy to maintain, affordable satin-finished ceramic tile to create a product for master bath suites, kitchens and living areas throughout the home. The earthtone color palette and non-repeating design are used in a variety of different wall and floor field tiles, decorative pieces and trim tiles, making Bella Rocca one of Mohawk’s most versatile ceramic product lines. Bella Rocca’s soft rustic look and warm color offering will work well in a variety of applications. All trim pieces use the same graphics as the field tile for superb coordination. The series features floor tile in 12” x 12” and 18” x 18”, along with a floor bullnose. The wall tile includes a 6” x 6” and 9” x 12” field tile and offers a full complement of trims, including surface bullnose and corners, counter rail and corners, and quarter round and corners. Bella Rocca includes a 9” x 12” Diamond cut-out tile that allows the consumer to select an insert of their choice. A variety of accent strips and inserts complete the decorative elements of this series. Sardara The Natural Collection’s newest Glazed Porcelain, Sardara brings sophisticated styling and modular design options to customers. Sardara is inspired by weathered Sardinian stone to create a highly varied ceramic product that combines the visual complexity of natural stone with the easy maintenance and long-lasting durability of porcelain ceramic tile. Sardara is produced in the Muskogee, OK plant. Advanced ceramic glaze technology creates the random shaded look and visual depth of Sardara. Field tiles include 6” x 6”, 12” x 12”, 12” x 18” and 18” x 18”, with a 3” x 12” bullnose. Decorative mosaics, each with a random blend from two colors of field tile and an upscale decorative 2” x 12” border, using cut field tile and coordinating glass accent complete the offering. Sardara is ideal for kitchens, hallways, and general living areas, and can be used outdoors for covered walkways and porches. Egyptian Stone Egyptian Stone Glazed Porcelain Floor and Wall tile recreates the look of antique weathered stone in a glazed porcelain floor/wall combination with a sophisticated non-repeating pattern. Its warm color palette is available in multiple wall and modular floor sizes and includes a complete decorative and trim package. A soft rustic stone look with lightly chiseled edges, Egyptian Stone offers a variety of design options with the many shapes, sizes and accessory tiles available in the series. Egyptian Stone features four colors in modular 6 ½” x 6 ½”, 13” x 13” and 20” x 20” glazed porcelain floor tiles. The large format 10” x 13” glazed porcelain is suitable for wall or floor use as well. Like Bella Rocca, the 10” x 13” wall offers a square cut-out tile so the customer can select their insert from several options. A coordinating metal accent in our Vintage Bronze and Vintage Pewter colors add to a decorative package that includes a 3” x 3” mosaic, available in all four colors. The versatility of this series is completed with the extensive offering of 6 ½” x 6 ½” surface bullnose and corners, 3” x 13” bullnose, a 3” x 10” bullnose with 3” x 3” bullnose corner, counter rails and corners and quarter round and corners.
