Mohawk in Top 15 on Southeast Sustainability List

Dalton, GA, May 1, 2012 -— Mohawk Industries ranked third among publicly traded Georgia companies and in the top 15 overall on the Southeastern Corporate Sustainability Rankings.

Mohawk moved up two spots in the Georgia rankings from last year and was the top ranked flooring company.

The 2012 Southeastern Corporate Sustainability Rankings were revealed during a ceremony at Atlanta’s Carter Center.

Mohawk ranked just behind included UPS and Coca-Cola, which were first and second, respectively.

The Southeastern Corporate Sustainability Rankings evaluate companies with a minimum market capitalization of $100 million (as of June 30, 2010) that have produced a corporate sustainability report that's available to the public.

Companies are rated on a variety of environmental, social and governance factors, and it is the only ranking of companies headquartered in the Southeast on these issues.

Founded by GreenBusiness Works and Mark Callaway Investments, the annual rankings are designed to help Southeastern companies maintain and improve their sustainability practices, while establishing a legacy of corporate and social responsibility in the region.
