Mohawk, IIDA Extending Re:work Series
Marietta, GA, July 10, 2009 – As the architecture and design job market continues to suffer, The Mohawk Group is extending its Re:work career seminar series.
Mohawk, along with its industry partners Interior Design magazine and IIDA (International Interior Design Association), is offering a series of free webinars.
The new dates include:
* July 21, 10 a.m. (ET)
* July 23, 2 p.m. (ET)
* July 28, 10 a.m. (ET)
* July 30, 2 p.m. (ET)
A virtual version of the live Re:work events, the Webinars will offer resume writing tips, interview skills advice and career coaching insights from professional experts. Like the live events, the Webinars are CEU-accredited (.4 CEU credits) by IDCEC.
"Making Re:work accessible to those beyond the live events was a necessary, yet natural next step for us. It’s vital that we provide the career tools and support needed to help as many affected individuals as we can,” said Al Kabus, president, The Mohawk Group.
“Our industry needs the creative and hard-working minds of these architects and designers. We’ll do whatever we can to help get them back to work."
To date, more than 700 out-of-work architects and designers have registered for the live, day-long workshop and seminar-style events, which have taken place in five cities across the U.S.
Events are scheduled for six additional cities this summer and fall (Seattle, July 13; Portland, July 15; Washington, D.C., Aug. 19; Phoenix, Sept. 17; Boston, Oct. 26 and Minneapolis, Nov. 19).
Participants must register to attend both live events and Webinars. For Webinar registration, visit mohawkgroup.webex.com/mohawkgroup; for live event registration and for more information about Re:work, visit themohawkgroup.com/rework.
