Mohawk Holding Sues Prizant's Over Loan

Calhoun, GA, May 23, 2008--Mohawk Holding Co. has filed a federal lawsuit in Pittsburgh against Prizant's LLC and the two men who bought the flooring chain in mid-2006.

Prizant's, which had 10 stores in the area, went out of business late last year during the holiday season.

Mohawk said it executed a loan agreement with Prizant's and Mark D. Scioscia and Robert Lang on July 9, 2007. The loan, for $160,086.15, was to be repaid in 18 consecutive monthly payments of $8,893.68, the lawsuit claims.

However, since then, Mohawk said, only $10,480 has been paid. Mohawk claims it is now due interest of more than $11,000 plus attorney's fees.
