Mohawk Group Receives USGBC Recognition

Chicago, IL, Feb. 19, 2009 – The Mohawk Group’s commercial carpeting manufacturer’s Chicago showroom received its official plaque earlier this month, recognizing its gold certification in the LEED-CI (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Commercial Interiors) category from the U.S. Green Building Council.

The Mohawk showroom is one of few to win the recognition. The renovated and expanded space was designed by Ken Wilson, founder and principal of Washington, D.C.-based environmental firm Envision Design.
