Mohawk Group Names Parker VP Product Strategy

Kennesaw, GA, September 20, 2007--Allen Parker has been named vice president of product strategy for the Mohawk Group.

Parker will drive the strategic product direction for Karastan Contract, Lees Carpets, Mohawk Commercial, Bigelow Commercial and Durkan Hospitality.

Parker will develop strategies aimed at improving current commercial products while generating ideas for new products and services. He has more than 16 years of experience in the custom development and brand management arenas.

Most recently, Parker served as vice president of sales for Karastan Contract.

Prior to that, he managed the custom development and design initiatives first for Lees Carpets and then for The Mohawk Group. He joined Lees in 1991 as a sales and design representative.

A native of Chatworth, Georgia, Parker is an active member of the International Interior Design Association.
