Mohawk Employee, Debora Busby, Charged with Stealing $766K
Calhoun, GA, October 23, 2017-Mohawk employee Debora Busby, 54, of Fairmount, Georgia has been charged with more than 100 counts of fraud related to the theft of around $766,000 from the company, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
Busby is charged with 51 counts each of financial transaction card fraud and identity fraud. Calhoun Police Chief Garry Moss said the four-month investigation began after employees uncovered discrepancies in several Mohawk accounts.
"It is alleged that Busby had taken approximately $766,000.00 over a three-year span, and used the money to pay personal bills, take lavish vacations and purchase various items for personal use," said Captain Tony Pyle.
Busby worked in the finance department at Mohawk.
