Milliken To Open Carpet Facility in China

La Grange, GA and Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province China, August 15, 2007--Milliken Floor Covering is developing its first manufacturing facility in China.

The facility is a project of Milliken’s new wholly owned manufacturing company, Milliken Textile (Zhangjiagang) Company Limited.  Milliken is installing proprietary technologies for the production of commercial carpet on a site within Jiangsu Province Zhangjiagang Economic Development Zone.  Plant start-up is projected for end of year.

The new facility will serve the rapidly growing commercial carpet markets in both China and the rest of the Asia Pacific region.  It will provide Milliken’s products at substantially shorter lead times and at more competitive pricing.
