Middle East Building Boom Fueling Domotex

Manama, Bahrain, April 18, 2008--A construction boom in Bahrain has led to a huge demand in professional flooring and carpets demand in the country.

Domotex Middle East, to be held between May 25 and 26, is organized by Deutsche Messe, and is the only dedicated floorings' show in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Deutsche Messe Dubai branch managing director Angela Schaschen said there is a lot of interest in Bahrain for the show, with clients extremely interested in choosing the flooring that best suits their business interest.

"This show has always attracted a lot of interest from Bahrain but it is far greater this time, in keeping with the booming construction industry. This is evident from the huge number of enquiries we have been receiving."

She said the idea to hold the exhibition is to take advantage of the significant growth of the market, which is greatly influenced by the real estate boom.

"According to recent statistics, up to five million residential units are under construction in the GCC, including more than 1,400 new high-profile developments collectively valued at over $697 billion," she said.

She said a huge and diverse audience of retail and wholesale buyers, interior designers, architects, property developers, manufacturers, floor fitters and trade specialists is expected to attend.
