Starnet's Matson Announces Retirement; Bischoff Named Successor

Darien, CT, March 6, 2019--Jeanne Matson has announced that she will step down as the president and CEO of Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring, effective May 5 (following the annual meeting). Mark Bischoff, currently vice president of vendor relations for the organization, will take the lead role.

Matson explains, “While this is a difficult decision for me, Starnet needs a multi-year leadership plan.  The Commercial Flooring Industry is increasingly complex, and we need to ensure that Starnet remains strong and viable in the face of on-going consolidation and evolving leadership at our major vendor companies.”

Matson, who has led the organization for 13 years, will remain in an ex-officio position with Starnet for the balance of 2019 in order to support Bischoff and to contribute to the overall transition and will advise the meetings and membership committees until the end of the year.

Bischoff joined Starnet in April 2018, having spent most of his career in the vendor side of the business with organizations such as Johnsonite, Tarkett and Mohawk.
