Martha Stewart & FLOR Finalize Carpet Tile Deal

New York, NY, July 26, 2006--Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc., have announced a multiyear agreement with FLOR Inc., an eco-friendly manufacturer of residential, high-style modular floor coverings, to manufacture a new line of Martha Stewart-branded carpet tiles. Distinguished by a distinctive design associated with the Martha Stewart brand, the products will be available through the FLOR catalog and online at www.florcatalog.com beginning in 2007. MSLO is also developing a line to be produced by FLOR that will be offered through the KB Home Studio for the Martha Stewart-designed homes created in partnership with KB Home. The agreement brings together the ease and durability of the FLOR floorcovering concept, marked by moveable tiles that are quick and easy for consumers to install, with the Martha Stewart design aesthetic. The new line will feature a comprehensive range of tiles in solid colors, textures and patterned designs that can be used interchangeably to create modular rugs and carpets. In keeping with FLOR’s proactive environmental approach, many of the designs will be made from recycled or renewable resources. FLOR’s do-it-yourself and design-it-yourself approach is a natural fit with MSLO’s emphasis on “how-to” and creative self-expression. The products are expected to retail for approximately $8-$15 per tile. This agreement is another important element in MSLO’s growing home furnishings program, which includes a recent agreement to develop a new line of Martha Stewart Collection home merchandise exclusively for Macy’s that is expected to debut in fall 2007. It complements a recent partnership forged in April with Safavieh, a leading manufacturer and importer of fine rugs, to manufacture a new line of Martha Stewart-branded area rugs for the company that will be available at retail in Spring 2007. As with the area rugs, the carpet tiles will coordinate with MSLO’s Martha Stewart Signature furniture line with Bernhardt, which is sold at independent furniture dealers and major department stores nationwide. Robin Marino, President of Merchandising for MSLO, said, “This is a wonderful addition to our home furnishings assortment. It further completes our product offerings in the home decorating segments of our business. Now we will be able to offer a full range of floor covering options, ensuring that our customer can find beautiful Martha Stewart rugs and carpets to suit any room in their home. We are especially pleased to be working with FLOR because they create a wonderful, design-driven product. We also admire the company’s commitment to sustainability and doing business in ways that minimize environmental impact.” “We are thrilled to be partnering with Martha Stewart,” said Greg Colando, President of FLOR. “Combining MSLO’s distinct style with our innovative and unique position in the marketplace will result in an extraordinary product collection. Martha Stewart’s inspired additions will give new dimension to the FLOR offering, creating more wonderful options for our customers.” FLOR is the industry leader in eco-friendly, high-design carpet tiles.
