Mapei Receives Approval for New Jersey Plant

Deerfield Beach, FL, November 20, 2007--The Mapei Corporation expects to begin building a 115,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Millville, New Jersey by early next year.

The new plant serve the entire Northeast construction sector. The plant, which will quintuple the company’s production capacity in the Northeast, will produce cementitious adhesives, mortars, grouts, waterproofing and moisture mitigation products for tile and stone installation systems, as well as self-leveling underlayments, construction grouts and repair mortars for the concrete restoration market.

Additionally, the new site will act as a regional distribution center for the company’s wood, resilient and carpet adhesives lines.

“Part of the space will be devoted to a branch of our industry-renowned Mapei Technical Institute (MTI), which trains and certifies thousands of contractors, installers, architects and other interested parties in using our product system solutions,” said Rainer Blair, president and CEO of Mapei Americas.
