Manufacturers Chemical Celebrates Achievements

Dalton, GA, May 6, 2010--Manufacturers Chemicals LLC Dalton Group, a supplier to the carpet and rug industries, had a day of celebration May 3 with the theme “World Class – Phase One” for reaching numerous operational and management goals in the dye manufacturing/distribution area at the Dalton operations.

President Chuck Steig said, “Last year our Dalton group voluntarily proposed sweeping changes and set aggressive business goals to streamline and improve our dye manufacturing operations.  The comprehensive changes involved just in time manufacturing, more flexible and responsive computer management systems, new manufacturing machinery, and implementation of the most rigid quality and testing protocol in the industry.  Today we celebrate lower inventory, higher quality, streamlined manufacturing, zero dead stock, and zero off quality goods.  We may be the only dye company on the planet to achieve this high level of operational control.  All this was accomplished without missing one scheduled shipment to our customers.”
 
For outstanding performance and full implementation of Phase 1, each employee in the group received a monetary reward and a “World Class” trophy for display.

Manufacturers Dalton also celebrated the commercialization of new lines of specialty dyes and chemicals developed by the group that offer new levels of performance. These dyes have patent pending status.
