Mannington’s Laminate Plant Completes ISO Audit
Salem, NJ, April 18--Mannington Mills announced today that their Laminate Flooring Operation has completed its annual ISO 9001:2000 surveillance audit with zero discrepancies. The company was certified to the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard by registrars Deloitte & Touche LLP, in April 2003. ISO (The International Organization for Standardization), is an international organization that serves to develop manufacturing standards that have positive economic, social, and environmental effects. The ISO 9000 group has become an international reference for quality requirements. After the second annual surveillance audit, it was determined that Mannington Laminate Floors’ Quality Management System continues to be effectively implemented. The organization has passed each of its three required audits with no non-conformances. "This is a significant achievement," said Sam Dryden, plant manager. "Very few companies pass with zero minor non-conformances. It’s something we are all very proud of." Mannington’s Laminate Flooring Operation, located in High Point, N.C., pursued the ISO 9001:2000 certification to improve and formalize the quality management and process improvement systems currently in place. "Our commitment is to customer satisfaction and continual improvement of our product," said Dryden. Mannington’s Commercial Inlaid Flooring Operation in Salem, N.J., was certified to the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality Standard in December, 2004.
