Mannington Sells Calhoun Rigid Core Facility to Bossen

Salem, NJ, June 18, 2024-Mannington Mills has sold its rigid core manufacturing plant in Calhoun, Georgia to Bossen New Materials Corporation.

According to Tom Pendley, president and CEO of Mannington Mills, this transaction opens the door for the company to expand its product offering and take advantage of innovative technologies, while still offering unique Mannington-designed products. “We are not exiting the rigid core business; quite the opposite, in fact. We plan to continue to be leaders in this category and will source rigid core products from trusted partner suppliers to give our customers the beauty and performance they have come to expect from us.”

The plant is located near the Mannington Commercial headquarters; no other operations will experience any impact from this sale, and Mannington will continue to manufacture LVT in Madison, Georgia.

“Over Mannington’s history, one of the things that has made us successful is our ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer demands,” noted Pendley. “We are confident that this strategic direction with respect to our rigid core products will allow us to continue that path forward and we are excited for what the future holds for us and for our customers.”

Bossen is a China-based LVT supplier with which Mannington has been partnering for a while.
