Mannington Products Achieve FloorScore Certificati
Salem, NJ, August 19--Mannington has achieved FloorScore certification for many of its hard surface flooring products. The FloorScore certification program, recently introduced by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI), identifies flooring products that meet stringent indoor air quality requirements. The rigorous protocol meets the well recognized CHPS Section 01350 IAQ standards, plus testing is third-party certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS). Mannington, along with many other manufacturers in the flooring industry, has chosen to participate in this voluntary program. "We feel strongly that the FloorScore program will help to improve the indoor air quality characteristics of many hard-surface flooring products and thus improve many environments like schools and hospitals, where good IAQ is critical," said Dave Kitts, corporate director of safety and environmental initiatives at Mannington. "We’re proud to be a part of it, and happy that so many other manufacturers in our industry are taking part."
