Mannington Porcelain Tile Intros Dramatic New Look

Salem, NJ, May 11--Last week, Mannington introduced two dramatic new looks to its porcelain tile line. The line, first introduced in 2003, is comprised entirely of porcelain tile, which is both harder and stronger than ordinary ceramic. Now, consumers can achieve harmonious looks with porcelain tile that can be used both indoors and out. Garda, a true replica of exotic Indian Slate, has natural color variation and a characteristic "blooming effect" on its surface, which the Italians refer to as "fiorina." These fiorina blossom on the surface of the tile at random, and are a natural occurrence in slate. Garda has dramatic color variation and comes in three rich colors to complement today’s home interiors: Firestone, Pine Cone, and Walnut. It is available in a number of popular sizes, 18”x18”, 12”x12”, and 6”x6”, as well as a full array of trims for both floor and countertop applications. Artistica porcelain tile was inspired by the minimalistic movement, and the use of sleek materials in home furnishings. Modeled after a slate, it has a smooth feel and satin glaze, but because of printing technology, looks like a textured slate. Artistica uses a unique design process to achieve a look in which no two tiles are the same. It comes in 18”x18”, 13”x13” and 6.5”x6.5” sizes, with a full line of floor and countertop trims. The decorative listello that complements Artistica is made from cut travertine and Murano glass for a truly handcrafted look. The glass is produced on the island of Murano, Italy, which is famous for its glass craftsmen.
