Mannington Names Winners of Design Challenge

Chicago, IL, June 16, 2011 -- Mannington Commercial has announced the two grand prize winners in the third year of its tx:style design challenge: A la mode by Sara Meier and Coastal Rocks by Paul Lewandowski.

Mannington said the contest drew more than 500 entries and 35,000 unique visitors to the tx:style site.

Meier, of Uihlein-Wilson Architects in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, created an abstract design, while Lewandowki, of SMRT Architects & Engineers in Portland, Maine, was inspired by the striated basaltic rock found on the sea shore, as well as flora, fauna, and colors nature of the Maine cost.

The winners were chosen entirely by public vote online. They win a trip to attend Maison & Objet in Paris, as well as $6,000 in total prize money and full product collections with Mannington Commercial, to be launched at NeoCon 2012.
