Mannington Honored College of Business

Salem, NY, November 21, 2005--Mannington Mills was one of three companies recently honored by Rowan University's College of Business for its exemplary business practices and contributions to the South Jersey business environment, according to Today's Sunbeam. Mannington Mills, Johnson Matthey, Inc. in West Deptford, Lockheed Martin Information & Technology Services in Cherry Hill and Viking Yacht Company in New Gretna received the inaugural Milestone Award. The honored businesses were judged on criteria including success in product quality, products and services, cultivating employment, supporting their community, fair business practices and contributions to growing the area economy. Bringing attention to these deserving companies serves to extend the reputation of South Jersey as an excellent environment for business success. The ceremony was held at the Eynon Ballroom on the campus of Rowan University. Edward J. Schoen, dean of the William G. Rohrer College of Business, presented the awards, while Rowan President Dr. Donald J. Farish welcomed the attendees consisting of more than 100 area business executives and Rowan faculty and students. Anthony Caruso, president of the CSA group in Marlton, served as Master of Ceremonies. Proceeds from the banquet created a new scholarship fund that will reward and encourage entrepreneurial spirit in deserving Rowan College of Business students from the South Jersey area.
