Mannington Holding 'Walk Around The World'

Salem, NJ, Sept. 10, 2010--Mannington and Burke employees will take part in a fitness program called "Walk Around the World in Eight Days."

The event will occur Oct. 1-9.

"If each person walks just three-quarters of a mile each day of the challenge, we’ll have reached our goal of 25,000 miles," said Betsy Amoroso, director of corporate communications at Mannington Mills.

Mannington has an ongoing wellness program which includes company-sponsored programs and events to help associates and their families make good lifestyle choices.

“The Walk Around The World event is a great way to show people that by simply increasing the number of steps we take each day, we can improve our overall fitness and well being,” said Amoroso, who noted that the wellness program has reduced the company's overall healthcare costs.

Mannington Mills has four locations and Burke has two locations.
