Mannington Hardwood Floors Featured on 'This O
Salem, NJ, February 16--Mannington Mills Inc. is the exclusive flooring sponsor of the 25th Anniversary project for This Old House. Named "The Carlisle House," it is situated in a suburb northwest of Boston, Mass. and features over 5,000 square feet of Mannington hardwood. The home’s interior designers chose exotic Andino Cherry and elegant handscraped Heritage Hickory for the project. "They couldn’t have picked two more beautiful floors," said Stuart Beattie, senior vice president of Styling and Design at Mannington. "Each has characteristics that make it the perfect backdrop for the decorating schemes they’ve chosen for the house." The contractors were so impressed with the flooring that they asked John Himes, Mannington’s director of hardwood, to appear on the show. Himes was happy to oblige. "I’ve watched the show for years and always admired what they do. It was a huge thrill to be there on the set and meet everyone." The show featuring Mannington will premiere Thursday, February 17th (Episode number 2420; check local listings for exact date and time, as it will vary by area), and a feature article will appear in the April 2005 issue of This Old House magazine.
