Calhoun, GA, Nov. 4--Mannington Commercial announces that packaging on all carpet tile shipments has been converted from cardboard boxes to shrink bundling. This new packaging method, utilizing 100% recyclable polyethylene film, has been extensively tested by shipping shrink bundled pallets of carpet tile all over the country and having them returned to the Calhoun, GA manufacturing facility for in-depth analysis. These tests prove conclusively that there was no noticeable damage to the carpet tiles, and based on reports submitted by 1ST A (International Safe Transit Association), the shrink bundled packaging of carpet tile pallets has been certified by the 1ST A Laboratory. Mannington will use the 1ST A TRANSIT TESTED Certification Mark plus its exclusive Manufacturers License Number on these packaged-products. Mannington's unparalleled process uses two grades of polyethylene film to protect the carpet tiles and to stabilize the bundles. Specially made heavy cardboard corners of 100% recycled content are included to protect the corners of the tile.
