Mannington Commercial Products Win Design Award

Calhoun, GA, September 15--Mannington Commercial was recently awarded the 2003 Good Design Award for two products: the ArtCraft Collection of modular carpet tiles and Double Weave, an archtypical geometric pattern in 12' broadloom. The Good Design Award is presented by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, the only museum of architecture and design in the United States. Founded in Chicago in 1950, Good Design remains the oldest and most significant awards program that honors 19 categories of new designs produced around the world. The goals are to create a revived awareness about contemporary design excellence and to honor both products and industry leaders in design and manufacturing that have charted new direction for competitive products in the world marketplace. "We are especially proud that Mannington was the only multiple winner in the floorcovering category," stated Robyn Raff, Director of Mannington Commercial Marketing. In June ArtCraft received the 2004 Best of NeoCon-Editor's Choice Award. The collection consists of three patterns: the original undulating pattern of ArtCraftTM, String Works, and Modern Primitive. Double Weave, introduced in mid-2003, is a best seller whose yarn dyed tonal colorways produce a complex yet subtle appearance on the floor.
