Mannington Awarded ISO 9001 & 14001 Certification

Salem, NJ, December 22--Mannington Mills announced that their Commercial Inlaid Flooring Operation has been certified to the ISO 9001 Quality Standard, and the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard by registrars Deloitte & Touche LLP. ISO (The International Organization for Standardization), is an international organization that serves to develop manufacturing standards that have positive economic, social, and environmental effects. The ISO 9000 group has become an international reference for quality requirements, and the ISO 14000 group looks to help organizations address their environmental improvement opportunities. Mannington’s Inlaid Flooring Operation, located at the company’s headquarters location in Salem, N.J., employs a progressive merged management system, which guides the operations to improved environmental and quality performance. "This third-party certification of environmental and quality excellence is something we’re very proud of. We also look forward to achieving combined certification in many more of our businesses over the next couple of years. This is yet another step for Mannington, as we strive to exceed the expectations of our customers, neighbors, and associates," said Scott Caldwell, Mannington’s Senior Vice President of Operations. Mannington’s Laminate Operation in High Point, North Carolina, was third-party certified to the ISO 9001 Quality Standard in April, 2003.
