Management Fallout at Carpetright on Poor Sales

London, England, June 6, 2011 -- Carpet and flooring retailer Carpetright said that Christian Sollesse, its managing director for the UK & Ireland, has left the company.

Sollesse’s exit comes as part of a major boardroom reshuffle after sales in the UK fell 6.3% in the 11 weeks to mid-April and three profit warnings were made in 2011.
 
Andrew Corden has been named operations director for Europe.

Corden has been at Carpetright for 16 years, holding responsibility for the company’s European operations since 2008.
