Lumber Liquidators Reports Net Sales Increase of 6.4% YOY
Toano, VA, May 2, 2017-Lumber Liquidators announced net sales in Q1 2017 were $248.4 million, an increase of 6.4% from Q1 2016.
Net loss for Q1 2017 was $26.4 million as compared to a net loss of $32.4 million during the prior year period.
This includes a comparable store net sales increase of 4.7%, which reflected a 4.8% increase in average sale slightly offset by a 0.1% decrease in customers invoiced.
The company opened two new stores during the first quarter of 2017, bringing its total stores to 385.
Says analyst Stifel, “Obviously, the company will continue to have some legal overhangs in the near term, while the final litigation is settled. That said, we’re relatively enthused with the results being better than we had modeled and some level of comp growth occurring, albeit against an easy comparison.”
