Lumber Liquidators Opens 94th Location in Idaho

Boise, ID, June 21, 2007--When Lumber Liquidators opens its 94th store on Friday in Boise, the first 94 people through the doors will receive a Bellawood floor-care cleaning kit and be entered to win a free hardwood floor valued at $1,000, according to the Idaho Statesman.

The store, specializing in high-quality hardwood flooring at low prices, is one of the largest specialty flooring retailers in the U.S. The show room and warehouse is at 7428 West Mossy Cup St., off Cole Road between Overland and Victory roads.

"We're committed to offering our customers everyday low prices on high-quality flooring and we pride ourselves on keeping our overhead low. That's why you won't see us opening stores in fancy, high-rent districts," said Tom Sullivan, founder and chairman of Lumber Liquidators.

"It also gives us a price advantage because of our large buying power. You aren't paying for special shipments from the mill or through a distributor; it's direct to us with no middlemen," Sullivan said.

Lumber Liquidators says it negotiates directly with mills to buy an entire year's production, and only purchases from suppliers who practice sustainable harvesting, which allows forests to heal and re-grow faster.

More than 100 varieties of flooring are available, including solid and engineered hardwood, bamboo, cork and laminate, featuring brands such as Bellawood, Dream Home, Schön, Virginia Millwork and Morning Star. Stock not available at the local warehouse is shipped from the main warehouse in Virginia.

"We have the best price and selection, a large inventory at the store and even more at our main warehouse," Sullivan said. "If it's not here (in Boise), it's on the next truck out."
