Lumber Liquidators Grew Sales in Q3, But Still Reports Loss
Toano, VA, October 31, 2017-Lumber Liquidators reported net sales for Q3 2017 increased $13.1 million, or 5.4%, to $257.2 million from $244.1 million in Q3 2016.
Net sales in comparable stores increased $9.3 million, or 3.8%, driven by a 3.0 % increase in the average sale and a 0.8% increase in the number of customers invoiced.
Net loss for Q3 2017 was $18.9 million, compared to a net loss of $18.4 million for Q3 2016.
The company opened three stores during the third quarter of 2017 and closed one, bringing the total store count to 387 as of September 30, 2017.
Just last week, Lumber Liquidators settled a class action lawsuit related to its Chinese-made laminate controversy for $36 million.
