Lumber Liquidators Getting Aggressive in UK

Toano, VA, March 14, 2008 -- Lumber Liquidators is taking advantage of the depressed value of the dollar to push into the United Kingdom.

The company is offering free shipping until the end of May. It is shipping product to a UK warehouse for distribution there. It has a Web site where customers can convert feet to meters and dollars to pounds.

Lumber Liquidators says it can offer American hardwoods at prices comparable to laminate.

It plans to display many of its products at the Daily Mail Ideal Home Show from March 14 to April 6.

Hardwood flooring prices will be about 70 percent below standard costs in the UK.
