Lowe's Names Mabry EVP
Mooresville, NC, September 23--Lowe's has named Mike Mabry to the post of executive vice president, logistics and distribution. In his new capacity, Mabry will maintain responsibility for overseeing Lowe's state-of-the-art distribution network and assume responsibility for the company's logistics function, which together expedite the replenishment of merchandise to more than 1,000 Lowe's stores across the country. "Mike's supply chain background and expertise has strengthened a function that is already a key competitive advantage for Lowe's," said Robert Niblock, Lowe's president. "He has quickly distinguished himself as a key member of Lowe's senior management team and is certainly ready to assume additional responsibilities." Mabry joined Lowe's as senior vice president of distribution in 2003 after a 12-year career with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where he served most recently as VP of Global Services. He holds an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University and a bachelor's degree in math from the University of North Alabama.
