Low & Bonar Sees Profit Nearly Double

London, England, February 18, 2008-- Low & Bonar Plc, the U.K. flooring and fabrics maker with U.S. operations, said full-year profit almost doubled due to its acquisitions to expand in textiles.

Net income for the year ended Nov. 30 jumped to 13.1 million pounds from 6.7 million pounds a year earlier. Revenue rose 39 percent to 312 million pounds.

The purchase of Colbond Investments BV, a producer of synthetic non-woven textiles for flooring, and Hungarian textile company Geo-Tipptex Kft in 2006 boosted Low & Bonar's textile division.
