All local public elementary schools are eligible. The winning school will be announced in August, just in time for back-to-school season. On Oct. 23, which is "National Make A Difference Day," a local team of volunteers will execute the school library or media center makeover. This marks the first time that Jay's Carpet One & Appliances will be participating in "Make A Difference Day," the largest national day of community service.
