Little Sign of Inflation in Wholesale Prices
Washington, DC, Sept. 14, 2011 -- Core wholesale prices, excluding the volatile food and energy categories, edged up 0.1% in August, the smallest increase in three months, according to the Labor Department.
The Producer Price Index was unchanged in August, the government said Wednesday, after a 0.2% rise in July.
Core prices rose 2.5% in the past 12 months, the same pace as July.
