Clifton, NJ, April 14, 2006--Linens 'n Things, Inc. announced the appointment of Robert Homler to the position of senior vice president of marketing, reporting directly to Robert J. DiNicola, chairman of the board and CEO, effective on April 17, 2006.
Homler is a veteran of over 35 years in the retail industry, having served in senior level merchandising and marketing positions for several leading national retailers.
Homler has most recently served as executive vice president of GNC Corporation since February 2005. The controlling stockholders of both GNC and Linens 'n Things are affiliates of Apollo Management, L.P.
Before his position with GNC, Homler served as president: merchandising and marketing for Levitz Furniture. Prior to that, he spent almost 15 years in senior management positions with R.H. Macy and Federated Department stores.
"Bob's many years of experience in the areas of merchandising and marketing make him uniquely qualified for this position," said DiNicola, who is also the executive chairman of the board of GNC.
